Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything to use?

No. Sign-up, browsing, applying, chat and engagement are all free for engineers. TAKUMIA is funded by companies' flat monthly fees, and we never deduct a fee from your rate on engagement.

Can I register with limited experience?

There is no minimum-experience requirement to register. Every project lists its required skills and experience, so you can apply where the conditions fit. The richer your profile, the better the AI's proposals get.

Are there projects for engineers outside Tokyo or overseas?

Remote policy is stated on every project, and you can filter for fully remote work. If you live overseas, you can confirm contract details (time zones, payment methods) directly with the company over chat.

Can I use TAKUMIA as a non-Japanese engineer?

Yes. TAKUMIA is fully bilingual and accepts English resumes. Each project states whether non-Japanese applicants are welcome and which languages are used, so mismatches are visible before you apply.

Do I need an interview with an agent?

No. There are no agents on TAKUMIA. AI proposes projects that fit your terms, and you negotiate with companies directly over chat — at your own pace, with no waiting for referrals.
